I "one clicked" Gap Year the first day it came out but then found myself stalling to read it. Why you ask....because Bella Bryce books have a way of drawing you into to the world she has created and to soon you get to "The End" and find yourself wanting more. So I was determined to savor this book. I found myself opening the book everyday reading just a few lines and then putting it down as if I was playing peek a boo, well I finally took the plunge and began reading ...and let me tell you Gap Year did not disappoint. You may ask yourself why would I be interested in an English boarding school book...I can't understand it but I believe it's because of Bella's talent. Bella's characters have depth and redeeming qualities they are characters we can all relate to no matter the setting.
The first book of Bella's that I read, I was uncertain of what I was reading--mostly I liked sex and spanking, so it was totally new to me. But then I found that I was anticipating each new book and following her blog. Quietly. I'm too old to be on social media, don't Facebook or anything else. But I love her characters. I love the situations, and I anticipate getting the news that her newest book is out.
This book (like the Brayden and Alice series) I can't wait to find out what happens next. I will wait impatiently for whatever new book she has out and buy it the first day. I've already read both this book and Walden twice since it came out. And will go back and read her other series again in order this week.
