The end of the series . . . sort of

Many of you are expecting the Waldorf Manor series to end with book V, Unfailing Love.

GOT YOU!
Sort of.

There will be a book VI, but not straight after Unfailing Love.  I plan to move on to one of my first standalone books outside of the series, and then I will come back with the sixth.  That will be a 'five years later' book, and definitely, the final in the series.

As for this book and its ending . . .

I would love to hear what you THINK is going to happen.  How do you suppose it will end? Don't confuse this with, 'how SHOULD it end'.  I'm not asking for you to tell me what you want so that I do it, because I don't write like that.  But, I'm very interested in hearing your ideas - because I know there are certain fans who are quite cheeky in their hopes! :D Keep in mind, too, that if it doesn't end how you want, that's okay, because these are my babies, and my world, and it's extremely precious to me.  I just want to hear from you! Tell me in the comments below.

I have been imagining book 5 quite a bit. Initially I wanted it to end with Elisabeth telling Bennett she's pregnant, but then I thought no, because I like the image of her as young and innocent. But maybe a sibling for Alice (an actual baby or maybe Brayden and Ana adopt another little one!) Or for Bennett and Damian now that their parents are canoodling :) I just think it would be fun for Alice to have someone to stir up trouble with.

I feel as if it will end on a good note with the James and Fowlers all happy and then the next book will be about there kids or somehting. Brayden and Bennett are gonna have sons close in the same age and ne just like them. THen the next book will be about Alice and their futures like 10 years from now.

Melanie,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and hopes for the book, I can't say how it will end just yet, but I know there will be surprises for everyone :)

I think the last book in the series should be about Alice finding love because if its five years later then she will probably be a bit older. It would be nice if Benett or Brayden had kids and I really want to know more about Damian's love life becuase he is the only one without a partner so it would be nice to see what happens to him!

Nadia,

Thank you for your comments, although book V is *not* 5 years later. book VI would be. I haven't made major decisions about the absolute final book, except that I know exactly how the last scene will go. Beyond that, it would need deep development.

Thank you for popping over and sharing your ideas!

I'm a fan of symmetry. So I've always assumed the final chapter would be about Brayden. I imagine a moment where he sits at the head of the table and all of the chairs are full. Brayden and Bennett are the type that beleive when you start something, it should be done properly and to its natural conclusion.

But secretly, I want it to end with Alice. She's been the catalyst that has sparked a positive change for so many people. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Brayden, but I want to see her at 16 or 17, a young lady, secure in her place and a hint of her future (with Alexander, perhaps). Maybe it ends with her come-out ball. That way Brayden can get his movement at the end of the table.

A fear? Don't make Alice get sick. I have this irrational fear that something is going to happen to her. It was sparked in the scene where she had lost an inch around the waist...and she didn't want Brayden to know. I'm hoping weight loss signals a return to childhood and not something more dire.

If I can be greedy, I want happiness for Damian, too. Even if he's not the alpha male type, I've loved his character from the moment he gave Alice a flip picture book.

Love your work!
